This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use tjteneriferent.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is the property owner, Playa de las Américas, Arona, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. You can reach us at apteneriferent@gmail.com or on +34 610 888 730 for anything relating to your personal data.
What we collect and why
When you make a booking we collect your name, email address, phone number, country of residence, the number of guests, your dates and any special requests you write. We need these to perform the accommodation contract with you — without them we cannot hold the apartment or let you in.
When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address and message, on the basis of the consent you give with the checkbox. We use them only to answer you.
If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we record an anonymous counter of which pages are viewed. It contains no personal data and cannot identify you.
Card details are entered directly into Stripe and never reach our servers. We receive only a payment reference and the outcome.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. It is processed on our behalf by:
- Stripe Payments Europe Ltd — payment processing.
- Hostinger International Ltd — website and database hosting.
- Our email provider, to deliver booking confirmations.
Spanish law also requires us to report guest identification details to the authorities for tourist accommodation. We do so only to the extent the law requires.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for six years to meet Spanish tax and accounting obligations. Contact form messages are deleted once your enquiry is resolved and no longer useful, normally within twelve months.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before.
Email apteneriferent@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the AEPD, at aepd.es.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and access to the booking database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and we will tell you promptly if a breach is likely to affect you.
